Gail has a great shop on Folksy and an ongoing project on Facebok which involves an orange fish. This fish appears in many different places and we are big fans in our house .. have also got other family members and friends checking out his antics. We were shopping once when my son excitedly shouted that he had found fish in paperchase.

What made you decide to start a 365 day challenge?
Having a young family means I don't get much time to myself and I wanted to reclaim some time to take more photographs. I thought one a day would keep me focused and make sure I did it, rather than putting taking pictures off until a tomorrow that never comes.
I did have a few ideas, but the main reason fish was chosen was because he was small enough to fit in my bag, was unbreakable, waterproof and colourful. I thought having something to take an image of would help the creative juices. Some days I'm glad I can just take an image of the fish without much thought, other days it drives me mad that he has to be included!
Does "fish" have a name?
He's just 'fish' ... I should really have thought of a name by now though.

That's a tough one as I have so many images to choose from now!

I can be quite stubborn and now I've started and got this far I can't give up! I find a walk outside, even if only in the garden, helps to clear my mind and get creativity flowing. However, I do find that inspiration tends to strike at any moment and I need to grab my camera there and then to capture it!
I've also received a lot of support on Facebook and Flickr and the comments I receive through these forums I think is the real reason I've kept up the project this far. It started off as a personal challenge, but to have inspired someone else to start their own 365 photography project is truly amazing.
Yes! He's always in my bag just in case. He comes almost everywhere now. As I leave the house I check I have my purse, keys and fish ...

what a great project. I think it has inspired me to encourage my son to do a 365 day photography project as part of his home ed. Thank you for the lovely interview, I'm off to look at Gail's flickr now.
