Art & Retro Fair, Northampton

What did you do today?
I found a new fair : todays was art & retro.
Alot of the stalls were from Most Marvellous Place to Shop. Which I have yet to visit but if todays stalls are anything to go by might have to avoid it until have a few pounds to spend.
Loved the retro clothing but the items wanted not my size :o(
But of course I did manage to spend some pennies ...
First buy this great vintage fabric and some whopping buttons.
(the 10pence on one shows how large these bad boys are!
Secondly a great tin.
I ummed, urrred and walked away until Tim said if you want it buy it.
On my way back to the stall I wanted to run and knock everyone out of the way but I calmly walked and phew it was still there...
so, why did I want this so badly?
...it's chocka full.
Searching through turned up great treats, not only a crochet hook, cute tape measure (perfect for my handbag) and a thimble, but also...
...more LARGE buttons (see the 10pence)...
...these remind me of Gryffindor...
...being born, and spending my childhood, in Northampton love this little button...
...now the great find...
these are buttons from yeomanry uniform c.19th century.
the back 2 are a dark embossed leather with coat of arms on them.
Lots of great stalls and saw Michelle from Button it (http://www.buttonit.co.uk/shop/)

Tomorrow am going to reply to comments left. Love and appreciate that people take the time to read my blog and comment.
Thanks people :oDD

Wow! Those buttons are fab. Not surprised you went back and bought it. I love buttons. A lady who I work with has given me a big bag of buttons which were her grandmas and they will be featuring heavily in my sewing/needlework based cards I will have in my Folksy shop soon. Have fun with your buttons and fabric.

I've just seen your blog (looking for the giveaway *grin*) and getting ready to contact people about the Craft Hop and I saw this post. I was there! Was so lovely to meet so many crafty people.
